Examples of auction rule setups ($1 reserve and BuyNow)

Tom’s hardware wants to sell a hammer, He wants to run a $1 reserve campaign listing 5x $1 reserve auctions per week. 1 auction ending each on popular evenings between 8pm and 9pm.

He also wants two auctions for the same Hammer always available on BuyNow for people who want it now and don’t have the time/patience to bid.

Screenshots of full rule setup:

BuyNow = reserve without gallery (free listing)

$1 reserve rule

Tom’s buynow = reserve = start setup:

Tom makes two rules for this hammer. The rules will be almost identical except tom wishes to have 2 auctions for the hammer with a gallery maintained and 3 (free) auctions with no promotion at all maintained. Tom can later check his reports to see if this setup is effective or if he needs more/less of each setup.

General:

Tom sets up his Hammer only in the hand tools->hammers category, he could make seperate rules for seperate categories but thinks his hammer will only really sell effectively in the hand tools->hammers category. He also decides that $15 is a good BuyNow start and reserve price for this item. He also puts in his image and description.

Timing:

As this is a BuyNow, Tom wants to get maximum exposure he wants there to always be one of his Hammers on a BuyNow style auction 24/7 he selects ‘always maintain’.
